Its back!
Please post here if you are interested in playing the Blonde Poker Fantasy Premier Leagues for the new season. Last season was very popular with circa 60 unique teams across the 4 leagues and a total of £2700 in prizes. All organised impeccably, added money (thanks Dazzler :-)) and all prize winners paid up and weighed in within a week of the season ending.
In discussions with The Dazzler, we are suggesting a few tweaks this season by having 6 leagues in total. Everyone will be entered into the Free Blonde Bragging Rights league and we are hoping to allocate any added money to that league and pay out the highest placed person who hasn't already won a league or cup prize.
We will have 4 paid leagues, but you can ONLY ENTER 2 OF THEM. We want as many people as possible to win prizes and to avoid a clean sweep across all leagues. The entry fees will be set at £10, £25, £50 and £100. You can elect to just enter the free league, if you wish. Everyone is welcome, provided they meet the qualification criteria.
We will then have 1 head to head league available to all with a £20 entry fee.
There are many new features in this season's game with the invention of 'chips' that can be played in any one gameweek. You have 3 in total; 'all out attack' where you can play a 2-5-3 formation, 'bench boost' where your subs also score points and 'triple captain' where your captain scores triple points in that gameweek.
It should be awesome and make it more exciting and swingy, rewarding the brave and bold.
Tom (TheDazzler), and I will draw up full entry requirements and rules in the coming weeks, but it will be pretty much as last season. We retain the right to refuse entry to non active forum members that we feel are just using us for FPL gain, so with that in mind all entrants must have at least 50 posts and have been a member for 6 months.

@MtSpewmore I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

The chips play as normal. If you are up against a man playing a chip then its just unlucky. Thats the variance of the head to head league. |

Can you use a chip every week, or do you get the 3 for the season and when they're gone that's it?

3 chips. Use once each only. Have to be used in different gameweeks. |

I have never played it before but looks fun, well suited for those that like to be hands on. http://ultimate.premierleague.com/a/rulesI think I remember The Dazzler saying he played it last year, anyone else? Interested to hear what they thought. |
