For around £100 you won't do better than a HUDL2 from Tesco.

No it's not an iPad obv. But still decent and very good value for £.

+1 for the HUDL2 from Tesco.

From what you say you do the only real difference will be the smaller screen.  It is a similar size to the iPad mini.

I use an iPad Air but my Dad got a HUDL2.  I set it up for him and was really impressed with it.

Hudl2 is ok but not a patch on the ipad. We bought hudl for the two grandsons and they suffice and are very good for the price. But iron can get his ipad fixed for the cost of a hudl and less than the nexus.
NB the hudl feels very insubstantial compared to the ipad.
