I had a dream
Late Night Poker was coming back. A production company agreed, a sponsor found, commentators engaged
all we need now is 8 players with the aim of engaging a new TV audience with poker. This audience did not see the original LNP and wasn't around for the height of TV poker that ended 4-5 years ago, but you are playing same format as LNP
8 handed SNG, top 2 through
With the dual aim of providing an entertaining show and a decent standard of poker
Which 8 current poker players would you sit round the table, and in what position?
the button is in seat 1.....
you can go worldwide in your search for players, amateur or pro or both.....
Your audience is British, itll be shown in peak time (i said i had a dream)
the better the line up, the more people will watch and the more the advertisers will pay....
over to you....
8 players please

Vicky Coren most definitely.
Carl Froch.
Sorry Keith, but Negreanu.
Skalie.
George Bedi.
Rob Yong.
Michelle Orpe.
Channing.
Went mainly British as the audience is British - only non-brit is Little Danny but thats for his TV presence. Good mix of pros and amateurs there IMO, would be tough to choose a winner and none of them will look out of place. Most will know Vicky from her TV/newspaper experience, and Michelle adds the glamour for the 18-25 male range which is a major target. George appeals to the families and Carl Froch attracts the boxing/sports fans. Rob is there for advertising grassroots poker. Channing does the same plus is good on TV and Skalie is skalie. Says it all really.

You may have whooshed me Rupert, but I saw Paul in Vegas this year, & I'm not sure he's currently in a good place, or suitable for TV, if you get my drift. He did not look a well man at all, physically or mentally. We've been well acquainted for well over 10 years, but when I shared tables with him this year I could not look him in the eye, it was way too painful to see. He can still play a bit, his mind is as sharp as ever, & he can assess pot odds in a heartbeat.
