I haven't watched any coverage for 3 years and have no idea who won last years main event. If Will Kassouf goes deep though I'll definitely be tuning in!

I think the Jamie Gold rule is silly, he didn't do anything remotely spectacular, he hitb the deck in the face for 4 days straight and told everyone every hand that he had them beat...which he always did...and every one of his opponents thought there's no way he can have it and gave him thier chips.

Can't see him getting into a pot with middy or Dan colman and talking him into a call lol

See worse at every casino in the UK every Saturday night. Once he's been warned by the staff, though, he has an obligation to abide by the rules, however poorly he thinks they've been applied.

WSOP has pushed hard for recreational players in recent years (just look at the size of the smaller buy in events, starting stacks, etc). This rule is clearly consistent with that.

Stating the blooming obvious, here, but he only continued his behaviour because he was increasingly worried she might call. That move wouldn't be attempted against Middy or Colman. He'd play more to the ego, as he did with Selbst years ago. The good table talkers are excellent people readers.

Like him or not, Kissouf is box office. The event needs characters to sell its product, even if it very openly would rather they didn't win.

doobs, I thought the same.

However I'm with kev Allen who informs me there is a rule now called the Jamie gold rule about using excessive speech play to manipulate opponents. Sounds a silly rule to me.

There is also a law of common decency which it's very hard to argue he broke, what a knob.

Jamie Gold was box office though?  Would put a whole heap of people above Will Kassouf as more damaging to poker/the ecosystem.

Don't think it's about the ecosystem, and people will say he was using legitimate method to gain EV, which is fair enough and his right...

However, he was told not to say anything more, and he just defied the TD, blatantly, like he was above the rules - very disrespectful.

Also irrespective ofc any rules that may or not have been broken, he was being an absolute c**t. So yh, no respect from me for that behaviour.

It's a totally fair point that you make about WK ignoring the Floor and then the TD. So, yes, the penalty was warranted.

But I'm not sure I agree with your contention that he was being a c**t. Will's someone I've known at the tables for several years. Yes, he's relentless, and can be infuriating if you're on the receiving end, but I quickly accepted that there's not a malicious bone in his body. I suspect that he quickly assessed that it was worth taking the penalty rather than losing the pot, so keeping the pressure on her prevented her from working out that her overpair was good.

I don't know about anyone else, but I've witnessed a whole lot worse than this in a game.

Finally, I think even WK's detractors would agree that he'd make entertaining viewing should he make the live stream.

I agree with what's been posted in that it's not that bad, but that he should do as he's told by the TD, pretty simple.

My only gripe with Will is that he slows the game down so pathetically.

Exactly this. Funny guy and always happy to see him in a room on someone else's table

I'd like to do this too. Have already started "negotiations" at home.

WK's buzzword bingo should be interesting should he make the final.  Surely someone will bet on which of his numerous favourite sayings he comes out with first on the November nine final table?  My favorite would be 'i'll call that ridiculous bluff'

Watched an EPT stream a while back, and the record seemed to be stuck on 'like a boss'
