This thread got me involved in US politics and I have had my biggest ever bet on Warren to be democratic nominee
and president in 2020.

Started backing her in march 2018 and kept backing her for over a year.

I am now "All in " and will persist 

Think you've done your dough, as I reckon the don is in for another term.

All the incessant whining from the left will just drive the moderates away, until someone more centrist can get themselves to the fore.

I'm a politics fish, though. Likely I'm way off the mark, and you'll be rofling around on a bed of fiftys come 2020

Won my biggest ever bet on Trump last time out and have a similar one on him to win next year, for these reasons. Nothing has changed since the last election. All the people who liked Trump still like him, all the people who hated Trump still hate him, and all the moderates will be completely unimpressed by pretty insane far left clown show in the democratic primaries. Plus the economy is doing well which usually gets a President reelected.

They wanted change. Hilary Clinton hugely unpopular  , part of the political elite. Yet she still won the popular vote.
 
There will be around 4 key swing states and it’s still over a year till the election.

The economy might not be doing so well by then especially if  other world leaders try and last out tariffs in an
effort to get rid of The Donald.

I admit he has a hard core of 35-40% of voters whatever he does but Warren or Harris are a different kettle of fish to Clinton.

Trump, sadly, is playing a blinder here.

Pelosi had been trying to marginalise "The Squad" as she knows that hard left types like Omar/AOC could majorly mess up their chances of winning 2020. Biden is probably their best shot, yet The Squad won't accept him and I would expect that they will do their level best to make him unelectable when Democratic Primary season begins. On top of that, Pelosi and other centrists are worried that having the far left neosocialists front and centre will push swing voters Trump's way.

Hence we hadn't heard much from them recently. Until now. Expect more of this, unfortunately.
