How is Mourinho still in his job?  It's failure on an unprecedented scale.  Imagine if Moyes had done this at United!

I expect he will be on a similar arrangement to Di Matteo in that the compensation stops when he gets another job...which will be about ten minutes after he's left.

The only reason they haven't sacked him is because they believe he's the best man right now to sort it out. If they hit the kill switch, it's because he isn't any longer the man they want.

Once Mahrez goes to United because they're short of attacking midfielders(...) and Wenger wouldn't bid enough (...), Ranieri will decide now is the time to go and the Tinkering One will be back at the Bridge.

That or they let Mourinho ship out the whingers and start afresh.

Yes they pretty much said this on SSN today.  £40m is a mythical pay off figure.  Would be funny as fuck if Jose just stayed on gardening leave for 4 years though and sucked up the 200 large a week and had a 4 year holiday.

So much fun to see such a graceless, humourless, egotistical twat get tossed out.

On the other hand - removes one of my enjoyments this season in terms of watching his increasingly pathetic post-match interviews

If you are going to get £40M if you get sacked, why would anyone want to stay employed?

Didn't expect that, fancied more of a clear out in the window than Jose to go.

well seeing as at least half the team wasn't performing for him, it was easier to get rid of the special one than ship out half the team?

reports say he is being paid to the end of the season, only

"The BBC claims Mourinho will waive the €50m, if its true that’s deserving of respect and very considerate of him towards Chelsea."

Money is probably irrelevant to someone like mouriniho. He has plenty, and is more driven by wanting to win trophies.
