Another "recommend a laptop thread".

Hoping to make use of the forums superior knowledge.

My laptop is on its last legs (acer aspire 5735) running windows vista (has been a brilliant lappy)so i need to get a new one.

Will be using it for...

gaming  (football manager and total war )
 internetting (blonde ,facebook,you tube)
 films   (downloading and viewing)

Have managed to scrape together £200 and could probably get hold of another £150 so budget is £350 ish

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Thank you.

Mate just got one of those for much the same stuff as yourself, and I've just bought one after he gave it the once over.

One of the techminded guys might be able to let you now if it's any good for what you want.

Oh yeah buying a machine that's a free upgrade to window 10 rather than pre installed can was a few quid and the upgrade is simple and takes less than 30 minutes on most computers

I've always had 17" Laptops, but my old man has a 15" Dell, and it seems plenty big enough.

I'm not a gamer but it looks like Total War might be a resource hog - the suggested specs for the new Warhammer edition are fairly high end.

Good suggestions from Marky and Ironside - at a slightly lower price this is another option.
