Killultagh vic, fav for the JLT made an incredible recovery when looking an easy winner of a G2 in ireland today. Showed again hes all guts and will be tough to beat if this is his target (could run RSA based on hurdles form.) Much better chaser than hurdler already (altho a chelt fest winner).

Marky/adz if you were connections not go for the JLT for l'ami serve and dodge the monster douvan. Theres prob gonna be vic and shaneshill, but they will be there as they have no chance vs douvan? Think 2m 4f will make l'ami serge a bit more settled and his last race suggest henderson wants to dodge douvan by stepping up in distance. Hope you lads get a run,  but think this is a win potential over an honourable second. (edit- see marky has the jlt part covered, id want him to run here)

That was ridiculous, and I bet there were some layers feeling sick after he got that up.

They've all but confirmed JLT, which is unusual for Mullins, and I think I might lay my Shaneshill bet off Cheesy

Having seen the couple of eggs and spoons he has run in, I agree that the Arkle might see things happening too quickly for L'Ami Serge.

Especially if Ar Mad turns up, but Adz's eyes are much more trained than mine.

Shaneshill should run JLT so wiley doesnt clash with black hercules.

Has roi de francs and pont alexandre for that too (mullins), cant imagine wiley being happy to be second fiddle to douvan when JLT is winnable

I was more thinking of laying it off, because I can't see it beating KV.

I know they like to give Mullins a good horse for the 4miler, so was thinking that would be where Black Hercules turned up.

That said, after Pont Alexandre's bounce yesterday, you have to think it's possible BH goes RSA, and PA might go to the 4miler.

Not sure if Dr Hendo has spoken but I know he has moaned like mad about the lack of opportunities for decent Nervous Chasers. The 2.3m may have just fitted in at the right time, experience wise, I'm not sure.

In terms of the race I thought he jumped great again out of that ground and my only concern was that he ran down the last few, probably as he got tired, so may have started to strecth his stamina, even at that pace. Just a thought.

For me, Hendo is a realist and will not be worried about one horse...i hope. I would think its probably a decent thing to take on Douvan as clear second best, and maybe pick up the pieces if anything goes wrong, rather than tackle a gaggle of decent horses at an unknown trip.

We shall see.

Dont fancy your problem mate, but thats the risk with backing Mullins, he doesn't give anything away, and you could look a right genius or fool, either way.

For those that can, Min is boosted to 7/4 for the Supreme with SkyBet. I've got no firm views on the horse, but can't imagine a better price available between now and the off.

Any views on Douvan / the Arkle? I've got a feeling that it's much too short and needs taking on. Obviously a very good animal, but not sure it's as good as UDS was a year ago to be deserving this price.

I have been optimisitically putting up L'ami Serge and an ew proposition against Douvan, and he kicked Doctor Harper off the course, who was just quite impressive himself just now. So he looks solid.

However Douvan has looked awesome, and even Mullins was lost for words in his post race interview, describing Douvan as the horse with the most scope he has ever trained.

I know what you mean mate, but suspect we would be relying on a fall to stand a chance.

Are you considering a lay, or do you have one in mind yourself to take him on with?

Whichever way you play it, based on the stats I keep seeing about Ruby and last fence falls/blunders, dont screw up any ticket til he gets over the last!

I don't think there is much wrong with the L'ami Serge bet.  I wouldn't be surprised if it cuts up really badly so you are left with great place terms in a 6 horse race including a couple of no hopers.  Douvan is obviously a monster, but could still fall or get injured.  And you never know, great horses have been beaten at Cheltenham many times before.

I suppose laying is the sensible route, but I quite like to find one to play.
Like the look of Ar Mad at the prices.

When Mullins is struggling for words, it is worrying.

If I don't get a winner all week, at least I'll have a pool & hot-tub in the back garden Cheesy

7 weeks today!!

Hi all,
Ar Mad has certainly improved this year and is great to watch him bowling along in front , but most of his racing has been at good front running tracks, not sure if Cheltenham will be his place, but until they try we wont know for sure, good luck.

Moore has always said that Ar Mad has to run right-handed and until recently was definitely not going to the festival, however he has tempered that by saying since his recent impressive runs he might have to give him a go left-handed.

I read somewhere that he was going to school Ar Mad left handed prior to the Arkle, rather than giving him a run. Obviously is a concern.

For the sake of simplicity, given I don't know any of the race names off by heart, could someone just list the winners for Ladies Day please.

Cheers
