...a grave error of tactics

You might have to rephrase that - according to my English/Swedish dictionary there is no word in Swedish that translates into the English word "tactics"

might explain a few things..........

PMSL Bobby .... But you will find that the scotland team is the one that they ALWAYS take to major championships..

Alex Referee is the most excitable of the 3, he knows he has more chance than most of getting matches in the latter stage of the comp, While the Linesman brothers Angus and Archie just take their selection as a given, as they know no different . Cheesy

Who are all these people?  I thought it was the six nations on next..... anyway I'd go for (assuming everyone's fit)...

1. A Sheridan
2. S Thompson
3. P Vickery
4. D Grewcock
5. S Shaw
6. Pat Sanderson
7. L Moody
8. L Dallaglio
9. M Dawson
10. J Wilkinson
11. T Varndell
12. M Tindall
13. J Lewsey
14. B Cohen
15. M Cueto

Subs
16. M Stevens
17. M Corry
18. S Borthwick
19. J Worsley
20. H Ellis
21. C Hodgson
22. J Noon

Now this is plain silly

Simon Shaw is not one of the best two locks in England. Alex Brown or Deacon by the time the World Cup comes about

No Corry?

Dawson? past his best, got to be building for the world cup there

Hodgson or Wilkinson is a moot point because who knows if Jonny will ever be back fully fit

Your back division seriously lacks creative midfield flair...I really like Simpson-Daniel at centre though he won't be picked

Lets face it, France and the All Blacks and SA are miles ahead of England

Wales, fully fit, have tons of flair

Scotland are nowhere

agreed with Deacon - i like him too, but wanna see him play a bit at international level first.  lewsey is very creative at outside centre and has great lines.  and with cueto at full back coming in to the line from anywhere i think that'll be a good combo.  wilko in the side due to the fact it was a 'if they were fit' thread...  ellis annoys me, espec after the late tackle on wilko (but he probably is the better player now) and i don't think there's room for corry with dallaglio in the team, and i don't think he's been that good... maybe switch him with sanderson at 6, but lawrence has to get the 8 spot.  the the beefy cohen on one wing with speedster varndell on the other, nicely balancing things off.... Rivered for England manager!!!

Great choice but I'd go Gazza right, Barnes left. Moore over Ferdinand any day.

Saracens, purely cos my old man likes them, and my friend played there during his younger years... i try to make it down there a few times each season, although it's tough cos a play quite a bit.
