RIP Dale. Mott the Hoople were the first band I ever saw live at the Victoria Hall Hanley when I was about 12/13. Their Island years saw some of their best music produced although not commercially successful and they almost threw in the towel. Step up Bowie with All the Young Dudes and the rest is history.
