You have a pretty rough 8-lo, and the 16th best lo overall.

I think the raise after second draw when it goes 1-2 is OK, as he is going to bet into you almost 100% of the time here when you take 2 with one draw to come and we want value from those 1 card draws. But we're not going to be loving life when it goes 3bets and we have number 16. You've signaled that you're going to be pat from here, and been raised.

I'm just checking back here, but this is a really strange line by dejanaceking. S/he is a solid mixed game reg at these limits and a particular thorn in my side on an almost daily basis, but is capable of snowing with a hand full of blockers like 23377. The fact that it's checked to you eliminates the snow, and I imagine he has a rough 8 as well. A 7xxxx leads river always, because it's going to be near impossible for dejanaceking to get a checkraise/call vs anything other than 765xx which would have gone 4bets on the second draw. Probably has something like 87xx2 as you've chucked a 3 and have one in your hand. 86xxx gets value bet I think, and I don't think you get raised by this player with 9xxxx on the second draw.

How often can villain be putting in the extra raise trying to get you to break?  I ask as I don't really know (either in general, or against this particular villain) but from the moderate amount I've played, perhaps I seem to try and make others break more than they do to me, so perhaps I over-use it.

I agree that it looks/feels like a shrug-check behind and probably noteworthy on the line (s)he took.
