In terms of rebuilding I think there should be optimism around Arsenal. They have youth, talent and a new stadium to provide future funding. One or two buys and no injuries next season and they'll be fine.
Much worse off are say Man U with no central midfielders and a poor defence.

I disagree that they have a poor defence, but their whole midfield apart from Ronaldo, is either too old or just plain useless.

I wish I had your optimism for Arsenal's decline Next season, Arsenal will have the highest gate receipts in world football. They will be playing in the best stadium in the Premier League ) Poor show vs Blackburn and the gap for 4th place is widening. If Henry goes and their is no CL do you realistically think Arsenal would fill a new stadium. Remember when they played their European games at Wembley. Didnt sell out there. GR doing ok for Toon so far . 4 wins and a draw with only 1 goal conceded. Not the hardest batch of games in the world , but you can only beat what is put in front of you. Are you serious? Every league game will be a sell out at Arsenal - no doubt. Champ League and FA Cup should be too and as for Carling Cup who cares. There are something like 50,000 registered members at Arsenal desperate for a season ticket and only the top 6-7,000 of these will be guaranteed, after existing renewals, corporate, club - level, and local schools etc receive as part of the planning gain. There will be some very disappointed supporters, desperately fighting to pick up tickets on a match by match basis

Brown still hasn't found that "potential" he was meant to have had 10 years ago. O'Shea has had three quarters of a good season in his life. The only back four I like that they have is Neville Ferdinand Vidic Heinze.

Roeder.
Newcastle can't attract a big manager. With the exception of Bobby Robson they never have.

Didn't realise Anfield legend Kenny Dalgish wasn't a big manager...

Roeder has acheived his objective. Got the team playing as a team and had excellent results to start. Because realistically we are going to finish between 8th and 14th there is no rush to appoint a new manager. We have a coach who is qualified so he will be officially classed as manager for last 2 or 3 games even though Roeder will still be in the dugout. It will be offered to Hitzfeld during the summer

Anyone with leftover cash, LAY George Graham @ 6.8 on BF. I have more chance of getting the job than him.

Didn't realise Anfield legend Kenny Dalgish wasn't a big manager... Maybe a legend in playing terms but not so as a manager. Inherited a great team and left when it got old, leaving Souness right in it. He bought the title at Blackburn and did SFA at Newcastle. If Alain Perrin took over Barcelona right now they'd still win......

reason he was being backed at 16-1 on the high street was cause he was trading as low as 7-1 on betfair so they were taking the arb
there is no chance of him getting the job mainly due to the fact sheppard wont go forgien again after guillet
