Roeder named as Newcastle Boss.

The Newcastle board will never learn. After this mess up, they should sack the board.

Ruud Van Nistlerooy for Tottenham

Jumped the gun a little... NUFC have dispensation should they WISH to appoint him! Cheesy

"Should we wish to appoint Glenn Roeder as our next manager it is nice to know we have the support of fellow clubs, and I'd like to thank them and the Premier League for their understanding.

"We will make an announcement on the managerial position at Newcastle United for next season at a press conference on Monday".

Ruud to Tottenham if Carrick goes the other way... If not he may as well come to play for Roeder! (or he could go to that little team in northern Italy - AC/DC?!)

I would love Ruud at Spurs, but I dont think he is compatible with the strikers already at Spurs. Also, if it meant Spurs losing Carrick, I would prefer to have Kuyt, as Carrick really is indispensable.

Maybe Ruud for Arsenal...

i made a right balls up with roedar and lost about £200 of the money i had made elsewhere on him but tomorrow 9 am when they announce roedar i will still get slightly over £200 still £200+ green on everyone (more that 30K green on a few) but not worth putting the £200 on at 1.05 so i will keep it as a safety blanket incase the NUFC board comes out with a shocker

The end of an era for Newcastle, Shearer retires and now you have roder in charge, lets see if you still get the 50000+ when your in the championship and not the 7000 when you was last in the old division 1.

Roeder is the worst managerial appointment ever.

Why do you think he was in charge of your youth team? As Newcastle are one of Spurs biggest rivals, I really hope he does get you relegated like he did with West Ham.

No chance of that.

Tis a waiting game now..... I can't see anything in the way of him making them play the same style of football as he did in the last 3 months, and, if he does - we will be al reet.

Did you know that when he was with Watford in 1995, he got them to 7th. Next season? Relegated .

With West Ham, he got them to 7th. Next season? Relegated.

What position did Newcastle finish? Yup, thats right. 7th.

66/1 Newcastle to go down @ Corals. I fancy a fiver on it.
