Walsall is the best (comps every night and Sat, Sun, Weds and Friday afternoons).
It's at junction 10 on the M6.
Also the broadway in Birmingham city centre (just off five ways island, the old childrens hospital) Sundays, Mondays and Tuesday nights.
Then Star city casino Wednesday and thursday nights (err star city)
Hope this helps,
Ian

Um there are quite a few round the midlands. Depends on what part. There is the Grosvenor in Walsall, a couple in birimingham, stanleys in Derby has started up again and of course there is the mighty gala in Nottingham.

Hi Gigi,
Welcome to blonde.
You don't say which part of the Midlands, but I only really know 3 Midlands Casinos.
Napoleon's, Owlerton, Sheffield. Huge Free Car Park, comps to suit all pockets, CardRoom run by a couple of characters in Craig & Fordy, typically Yorkshire clientele. Friendly. Smoking permitted, tends to get very smokey. Comps start on time as a rule.
Gala Notts. If you are a regular blonde reader, you'll know ALL about Gala Nottts! Smoking permitted. CardRoom Manager a real hard working guy, who will make any new players welcome.
Grosvenor Walsall - The Real Deal! One of Britain's best venues without a shadow of doubt. Free Car Park. Free Buffet before every "special" comp, and when I say buffet, I mean a proper meal. Worth 10 in itself. Smoking is NOT permitted in the Card Room. Comps from 5 to ,1,500, & these days they start very punctually. The CardRoom Manager is a Tom Cruise look-alike, though Tom is a lot taller.
If we can help further, just say.
Take care Gigi, hope to bump into you at one of the above soon. If you live near Walsall, pop in today (I will be there all day) & say Hi please, it's nice to meet blondeites.

To be honest, and I assume honesty is an integral part of these forums, I think Walsall would be a better place to start than Notts.
I was at the Gala Thursday and would have sunk into my seat if I'd been a first timer.

Well Taffy was dealing my table for a start. Cue shouting, arguing, swearing, singing 'waiting' songs when some1 ponders.
To be fair tho, it wasn't just Taffy who was causing a hostlie table. Other players were winding him up, as usual, and trying to piss him off. Taking the Michael out of his pink shirt was way below the belt and it certainly doesn't mean he's gay like 1 opponent suggested.
But, in all seriousness, I would have found all this very intimidating if I was a newbie. Although Gala is a fun place to play, at times, tables can become intimidating to the newbie.
I personally feel that the players in Walsall have a tad more patience with first-timers and there are more low stake comps where the newbie isn't alone.

Taffy was dealing my table on friday and they were still going on about his shirt. Not a word said about mine, which I thought odd.

Aaah the brilliant ongoings at notts. You can always guarentee an arguement at Taffys table there seems to be one every night over nothing. It always amuses me that Rob has to go over and sort it out, taffy will never admit he is wrong. Then Kev will start winding him up, if he is not too busy moaning about something or the other. I find it all quite amusing really. I agree tho it can be intimidating for new players and you have to have quite thick skinned with some of the characters up there.
