WPT National Main

Day 1

blinds 600-1200 ra 100

nine handed

Stack 80,000

UTG with Queens

Raise to 2500

The Cut off calls

The big blind calls

Cut off is an experienced tournament semi-pro, Osman Mustanoglu is his name. Seen him play for over a decade. Can call wide pre and likes to see flops, is tighter post flop

Big blind is an online qualifier, middle aged. Has talked about playing a grand prix event the week before. Have seen him myself playing £100 sky poker events. So recreational. In 6 or 7 levels haven't seen him out of line once at showdown though small sample size of hands

I cover both. cut off sub 40,000. big blind 50,000

Pot 8400

flop

check to me lead 5000

instant call cut off

instant c-raise to 10000 by the big blind

as he does so the cut off's eyes widen like me when presented with a subway footlong.

back to you. what do you like here?

The min raise is super fishy and for the most part is very nutted. We have never seen the player be out of
Line and has only been but straight forward. He has all 3 flopped sets I'm
His range, suited cards for flopped straight. I would be most inclined to fold here with all that info.

+1. I'd fold and be pretty happy about it.

The question we have to ask is does he have enough bluffs for us to continue? Doesn't seem at all like the kind of player that is going to minraise a hand like TT here to 'find out where he is' and he's expecting the BB to continue pretty much every time to this sizing so I think we can comfortably put him on a pretty strong range here and there are so few good turn cards for our hand, our prospects of getting to showdown cheaply seem remote and our equity is terrible against his value range so I'm happy to fold here.
