FFS!

One of my first ever big live tournaments I played he went on and won, I played with him for several days and he kinda 'took me under his wing' as he could tell I was out of my depth a little bit. Really showed how to treat newbies to help them enjoy the game.

An absolute gent.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

As others have said, one of the good guys who actually understood the whole poker scene.

Ghastly news. He was just 52.

My 'phone has not stopped ringing, so many people so shocked.

More later, maybe, when I get my head round it all.

When he started blonde he had the maxim " poker with a smile", & I'll remember him for that as much as anything.

RIP Dave.

Noo. Dave was one of the good guys. One of the guys I first remembered from late night poker and his competitiveness intrigued me when I joined the poker scene in 2005.

RIP Dave

Exactly the same for me. RIP Sad

Just seen the news on FB,  first met him at an early Blonde bash in Luton where we both played football for the Welsh team and then he was on both my wife's and my table in the poker tournament later on.
He was such a lovely down to earth friendly man, and would always have a chat to me whenever I saw him after that, sad news,  RIP Dave.
