I don't think it is that straight forward. Though my NLO8 tournament was still open and some jumped in, because of the carnage the guarantee hadm't been met. So even though I had above average and some people probably took advantage, Stars still had to pay the difference up to the guarantee.
Of course, I am all for an ICM settlement. Using a simple formula in these days of high powered computing seems daft.
I don't see why they can't just give money back to those who jumped in very late and never played a hand. Surely, they can't expect more? Then after that calculate everyone else's refund. It is too latte for last night, but introduce it for the future.
