Hi guys,

I'm in Belfast this weekend with work & was wondering if there is any places that run live cash games in the evenings?
1/1 1/2 NLHE would be my preference.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul

Live poker is illegal in northern Ireland.

Used to be a cardroom in Bangor, which had a small cash game, and tourneys most nights. It was part of the old cineplex, which had been turned into a bingo hall, iirc.

2007 was the last time I was in Ni, so can't for the life of me remember Cheesy

Pretty sure there is a game in 147 sooker culb in Omagh.  Played there a few times when i worked for an NI business.  Not sure if its still running or not.  used to get 40+ runners.  Buy in £20.

I played once or twice in Belfast at a venue called "The Cavendish Club". No idea if it still exists - I doubt it somehow. Police raids were the norm, & it always felt a bit edgy there.

Here's an MTT result from there, way back in 2007. Few familiar blasts from the past here.....

This was a real weird one - it was £100,000 Guaranteed to the winner, but the Prize Pool was only £123,000.

So when the Final started, with the inevitable seriously top heavy Prize Structure, (100k to the winner, £23k divvied up amongst the other 9) Paul Jackson, who was the chippy at the table, suggested they re-distribute the Prize Pool. He then went & won it, taking home just £30,000.

I seem to remember Laddies having sats to that one, and I know my old man played it.
