Marillion - This Strange Engine
I think they are the best band in the known Universe and this is a post Fish Song which is a kind of part autobiography of Steve Hogarth's childhood and other memories. Contains one of Steve Rotherey's best guitar solo's. There's a lot of solo's and songs to choose from. This one has just won the Marillion Song using a World Cup format i.e. 1st round, through to the Final voted by the biggest Marillion FB group and that's why I chose it, it was tough, could have been any from quite few more.
New Order - True Faith. One of my fav songs from My Hacienda days, well nights really!

Two choice tracks from the last band I saw live and the next band I will see:
The Rhythm Method - Something for the weekend
Proof the you can still make music like they used to, in 2017. This generation's to Squeeze fronted by Ian Dury. Should be massive, won't be; phenomenal live.
Weezer - Buddy Holly
American 90s melodic pop-rock at its absolute finest. An iconic tune named after an iconic individual by a band who have reinvented themselves to stay current in the modern era. Outstanding.

Going underground - The Jam
Since you been gone - Rainbow
Two cracking songs from my younger days.

Andrew just squeaks in front of Scrote.
Who doesn't love East17, tighty? Walthamstow a superb pop album. Not like he's chosen PJ and Duncan's When I Fall In Love*
*not my suggestion. Don't worry!

Was it Avenged Sevenfold which notoriously started one of the hardest most obscure RSQs ever?

I timed it as just under 18 on the live album! Maybe it's a problem then, in true prog fashion on the album of the same name it could have been padded out a bit but I don't have that one on vinyl. There's a good live version from one of the Holland weekends on Youtube :-)
I'm following too, it looks like a really eclectic mix and I hope to find some new music.

Avoided using spotify for so long for a reason I've long forgotten.
This seems as good a reason as any to sign up.
Many thanks for all the contributors.
My two for what its worth would be :
1. Born Slippy - Underworld. From one of my favourite films and immediately transports me back to my University days and my drinking prime.
2. Don't Look Back in Anger - Oasis. Sing along nonsense!
