Ronnie announces he is limiting himself to no more than 5 safety shots per game.

Sigh.

Frame 1. Ronnie already over his quota.

Tosser

Bet you enjoyed Ronnie's break-off shot when the cue-ball clipped the blue before it even reached the pack.

Not sure I've ever seen that before.

Truth is, win or lose I love to watch Ronnie, he just talks such bollocks.

As my mate Pete Hunsley from Barnsley would say, "Tommy lad, tha can mek thee maath say owt".

In Canada my old pal John "the Hat" used to call that break the San Francisco - when you break from just next to the brown and cross the blue before striking the opposite side of the pack.

I never did ask him why it was called that - and yes I did see him strike the blue when attempting it.

It's called the San Francisco because there's an art in it.

They must have the table mic'd up differently than usual for this comp. Every shot sounds like a kick to me.

I've yet to meet a serial cue-smasher that I like.

I know where you're coming from Ralph. It's a good indication of character.

I can count the number of times I've taken my temper out on an inanimate object on the fingers of one hand and still have enough left over to insult someone.

How very dare you?

I was referring to the aforementioned Tony Bennett's art.
