I wouldn't like to draw Ronnie in a gurning competition.

Ha, was just about to say he is gurning for England tonight.

Love that in snooker, when a miss is called and the cue ball has to be replaced, the referee relies on the players to indicate it's exact position, and the guys never try to gain advantage. If only footballers were as honest.

A good snooker final is the best thing ever in sport, though I'm having to flick like mad as Paul Casey is leading the Valspar golf and I want him to win. Or comeback kid Luke Donald.

Why not tape one?

I want it all, I want it all (yeah), and I want it now.

We want Tikay's summer staking thread.

And we want it last month!

Just seen that a couple of guys lost their cues on the journey back from China, Judd one of them. Hope they turn up as there is a big tourney coming up.

Hawkins overpriced at 25/1 for me, would love the Goat to win it but think 17days is too long for him to be in a Zen like state.

Can't wait for this.

In fact, it starts today, with the qualifiers making a last ditch attempt to get in.

I follow a bunch of Snooker pundits & players on Twitter, & one named "snookerbacker" posts a whole variety of stuff, some of which is quite decent.

He had done a full analysis of each qualifying section, quite lengthy & detailed. it's here;

Mark Williams may have been "on the lash for a year" but his cue-action is still a thing of beauty.#Cueactionenvy

I've taken a bit of 5/2 about the young Chinese kid Luo to see off Murphy, he looks like a grinder and Murphy makes a lot of errors.

Two players 9-0 done in first session one of them averaging 9 points per frame.  Very poor show!

Watching Neil Robertson giving his post-match interview, I thought i was seeing things on that advertising wall. How the hell did that happen? Or is there some secret Betfred advertising gimmick that has whooshed me?

I hope they change it, otherwise I shall spend every interview for the next 2 weeks having my eye drawn to it.
