A week ago, I lost a woolly hat and a pair of reading glasses.

I didn't leave home all day except to take the dogs for a walk first thing and I definitely had them when I got back.

It's been driving me crazy. I mean, a woolly hat isn't like a pound coin or your car keys, if you drop it it won't roll under the settee or get lost in the grass.

Where could it be?

Why have my glasses gone too?

The hat is grey and the glasses are tortoise shell BTW.

TIA,

Mrs Red hid them, as she thought you looked so daft wearing them.

Send my £20 reward to charity please.

She pleads not guilty.

Apparently I look daft with or without a hat and my little friend is an idiot too.

Under the bonnet of a car.

My bonnet under a bonnet? Good shout, but I didn't do anything to the motors that day.

Are they in the pocket of the coat you were wearing whilst walking the dogs?

Did you bring a bag with you?

No. That's the thing you see, I always wear the same fleece when I walk the dogs, then when I get back I hang the fleece behind the door and put the had in the left pocket, unless it's wet, then I throw it in the radiator.

Later in the day I was going outside to re-set the stone that the gate rests on. I grabbed my fleece, put my hand in my pocket for the hat and.. No hat.

Then I realised that my glasses were gone too.

The moles reappear.

Hat and glasses disappear.

Coincidence ?  I think not.

You prob threw them in the bin or flushed them down the toilet.  It's called a senior moment.

Given the demographic of the remaining regularly posting members these threads will become a daily occurence until people start losing their laptops and phones.

Did you pop them on the side next to the coats, then cover them up with a newspaper or other reading material?

I reckon the problem here is the glasses. Find the glasses and you'll probably see the hat 😂
