Can't believe how many cars Nirvana has had. Insane list.

I've only had 7 cars in my lifetime so I might as well list the lot in order of purchase:

Ford Escort 1.3 bonus

Ford Probe 2.5 V6 - Close second favourite. Had it at 21 years old, gorgeous car, lighting fast at the time and an absolute fanny magnet.

Ford Mondeo estate - What the f**k happened to my life? I met a woman and moved in together is what happened. Definitely not my favourite although fantastic for getting 4 blokes plus suitcases to Newcastle airport.

BMW 330i - Boom. Split up with the woman and got what has to be my favourite car. Suddenly started attracting far more incredibly beautiful females. Not sure why?

BMW 530d - Bit of an old mans car really. Decent, quick but looked a bit meh now I look back at it.

BMW 530d - First brand new car. New shape was so much prettier than the old 5 series. Also in white so I looked like a pimp.

BMW 535d - Another new car (also current car) but looks exactly the same as the last one. Same colour (don't mind looking like a pimp), same wheels, same everything really but a bit faster and a HUD. Pointless really now I think about it but meh it's only money. Nothing to choose between this and the last one but I guess this gets the 3rd favourite spot due to being better.

To be honest I absolutely love my current car hence the reason I just got a slightly upgraded one version of the previous. If I was younger then this would have been a favourite but now I'm in my 40s a car doesn't mean so much to me. I think the thing that makes a car a favourite is the memories that accompany it, classic example being Graham C and his Fiat 127. I'm sure the A4 is better but those memories will always live alongside the Fiat Smiley

Pretty sure my next car is going to be a Tesla Model S and I'm hoping that will become my favourite given the build up it's had for me. Looking forward to it but it's a bit too soon to get rid of the current car.

Longines - the Jag was direct from the factory they also did a 4.8L - I am trying to find out how many they made as I am looking to buy some more for spares.

Do you mean supercharged rather than turbocharged? The S-Type R was the factory 4.2l supercharged option, don't recall Jaguar ever doing a 4.8 engine.

There are 20 Rs on autotrader so spares hopefully won't be a problem.

your correct should have put the 4.2, still cant find out how many they made - in 20 years they should be a good classic car

I've had a fair few over the years. Never been a petrol head, so I'm a little short on the details.

GM 1970 Firebird. Think Rockford Files. It was Granny Smith Green when I got it, so had it resprayed Midnight Green. All engine & leather.

BMW 325i. My first sexy company car. Had it delivered to my office in Soho Square... Just in time to shoot off down to Lingfield for a day at the races. Bryan Adams or something similar blasting out all the way.

Toyota Celica 2L. C reg, whenever that was. Loved it. Handled superbly. Last of my company cars, when the salary bonus was made too good to refuse.

Bit like Woodsey here cars don't really mean much to me tbh.  I have driven awful cars all of my life apart from the company car years and finally treating myself to my current motor which is half decent.  Had loads of crashes/write offs, 2 driving bans, speeding fines etc!

1993 - Fiat Strada - wrote off after 4 months
1993 - Austin Maestro - lasted 4 months before failed its mot
1993 - Ford Escort 1.6 Diesel - wrote off after 3 months
1994 - Mini Metro - this lasted me through uni and i treated this one careful as i paid £4k in cash for it and it was decent compared to the first 3 which were all <£250 bangers
1996 - Joined company car lease scheme at work which had Peugeot scheme.  Basically tax fiddle to get around company car tax and you basically paid £100-150 a month depending on model to lease a brand new Peugeot until you had done 6000 miles then it got replaced with another new model.  Had 106, 206, 306 gti 6 speed, 306 DTI, 406 TDI over the five years until i got booted off the scheme for writing the 306 GTI off in a crash after previously writing off one of the 106's when the engine blew up because i never checked the oil and it burnt out!
2000 - Another Mini metro as i was totally skint and couldn't afford anything better
2003 - Rover 216 - Banned from driving so had to sell it and moved to Antigua
2007 - Peugeot 307 leased car when i lived in Malta
2008 - Peugeot 307 back in UK the longest i ever had a car.  Lasted until 2017 when it had to be scrapped as it was worthless and not even worth getting mot'd.  Drove around Europe in it in summer of 2013 all the way to the East side of Poland and back.  Even had a crash in Poland and had to drive back 1200 miles with a smashed up front of the car!  Also the car i used all the time whilst travelling around playing the uk poker circuit for a few years.  Lots of happy memories of this car.  Probably my fav car just because of the length of time i had it.
2017 - Forced to invest in something decent and bought a brand new Audi a3 2 litre diesel sportback for over £20k.  Spent more on this than all the other cars i actually bought put together.  Still got it now and really enjoy driving it.  More than enough for a non petrol head like me.  Very nearly bought a BMW 435 diesel instead of this for £37k but glad i didn't now.  Was a spin up between the two.   Sensible head kept the £17k extra in the bank.

In order

1st 2008 Peugeot 307.  Lasted 9 years.  Bought it cash in £50s from Brighton Rend casino after an MTT bink and it was worthless 9 years later less than £10 a week motoring.  Can't beat that.
2nd Peugeot 306 GTI -  Rapid for a 25 year old and we shouldnt have been allowed to drive them on a company car scheme for £120 a month
3rd Current audi

All the rest were garbage bangers.

I'm not sure how I neglected to mention my current ride of fifteen years standing - Honda Legend Coupe 3.2L V6 - just a pleasure to drive at all speeds.

Vauxhall Cavalier, pale blue, first car cost £200
Ford Cortina, red with black vinyl roof
Vauxhall Cavalier hatchback, black with gold stripes down the side
Vauxhall Cavalier saloon, pale blue, first company car
Ford Granada Mk 2, mid blue
Ford Escort Mk 3, company car
Vauxhall Cavalier Mk 3 company car, red
Peugeot 406, company car, first day I got it I drove it home from head office in Maidenhead, checked to see if I needed any petrol, it was about half full and the gauge didn't seem to be going down much, I ran out of petrol about 1/2 mile from home. I had been looking at the water temperature gauge
Vauxhall Cavalier 'Mk 3 SRI, maroon, central locking came as standard but this one didn't have it, marvellous, company car
Ford Granada Mk 3, white, ex police car, I had to replace the dashboard as it had a huge cut out where some kind of computer had been.
Audi Quattro, Black,
Porsche 944, red
Ford Mondeo Mk 2
Ford Cougar, 2.5 V6, black
BMW M3, silver, with paddles,  first new car, it was supposed to come with a TV, I couldn't get the tv working, took it back to the dealer and the reason the tv wasn't working was that it didn't have a tv. They gave me £1100 to get one fitted by BMW, the screen was already there but no to module. I couldn't decide whether to keep the £1100 or get the TV fitted. I decided on the TV and used it on e I think.
Rover 75 automatic, first automatic and I would never go back to a manual
BMW 1 series auto black
Ford Ranger, pickup double cab, auto, grey never needs washing
Range Rover Evoque, White, very pretty, auto, never looks clean, would never have a white car again

1 Rover 75, first auto and just so easy to drive
2 Ford Ranger, easy to get the double buggy in the back, loved the high driving position, wouldn't go back to being low down again
3 Ford Cougar, pretty, cool

Haha I had a 306 GTI when I was about 25 yo also, in hindsight that was probably my most enjoyable car back in the day when I briefly cared about cars, yes and quite fast for around that time!

That pretty much summed me up as well.  At 26 i got into the gambling industry and stopped caring at all about cars and stuff like that once i left the proper corporate image driven world.
