$1000 turbo

Turbo bounty overplay predictions come true. The two young  guys have already dramatically overplayed hands for the bounty, which is only 1/5th of the buy-in

$1000 turbo[/b

Hmmm. 3,700. I've raise-folded tens twice.

Firstly, raise to 350 UTG at 75-150, UTG2 makes it 1,200. Fold

Then, raise to 350 UTG1, MP 3 bets to 900, SB four bets to 2,100. Fold

$1000 turbo

Got some back. 5,200 at 75-150(25).

I have  in BB. SB raises to 350, I call.

Flop is two hearts. He bets 350, I call.

Turn is two hearts . Check, check.

River is two hearts . He checks.

I definitely think about turning my hand into a bluff. It's worth something that I cannot now have a missed open-ender or gutshot. But a SB opening range does not have the main hands I want to bluff (AJ, AQ, AK) enough of the time to make it worthwhile.

I check and he says 'jack high'

The next hand, he raises to 350 from the button, I have and three bet to 925. He folds

$1000 turbo

Better times with tens.

Raise UTG1 to 350 with at 75-150(25). MP calls from 2,300, SB calls.

Flop is a lovely three diamonds.

SB checks, I check, MP moves all in for 1,950. I call and the unlucky man has a set of threes.

Up to 7,200

Very nice first hand. A raise to 500 from CO, SB calls, I call from BB with Two Clubs.

Flop is . Beautiful. I check raise to 1,800 and make bets of 4,200 and 11,800 on the turn and river of

He calls down (almost definitely must be a 9)

I am CO and have    , MP raises to 400.

Obviously a good hand, but always tough to play aces with no low potential. I 3bet to 1,300. Button cold calls, original raiser calls.

Flop (pair of aces, nut flush draw, no low)

A close one. Definitely would not be a bet without the flush draw. May well be a bet with the flush draw.

I just about check. Checked round

Turn . Best turn that doesn't improve me. I bet 3,300, they both fold

Nasty quartering. Kessler limps, I raise CO to 700 with

three clubs Two Diamonds. Button calls, Negreanu calls BB, Kessler calls.

Flop . (A monster, nut low, counterfeit protection, 16 outs to a straight). I bet 1500, button and Negreanu call.

Turn Two Clubs (nut low and 6high straight)

Daniel leads 5,600 into 9,000. I call, button calls.

River Two Clubs . Daniel leads pot, 25,800. I call, button calls.

Daniel has the nut flush,   . Sadly the other player has AQ63. I get quartered.

Hmm it's interesting. I don't think I can fold. River I definitely can't, as even if I am getting quartered three way, I get exactly my call back, and so break even. It's the turn that is close. But with only one player behind me, it's not likely enough that either he has A3, or that Daniel has A3 and a better high. In fact, there is some possibility that Daniel just has A3 and it is me who is getting three quarters of the pot.

What is interesting is that the button player probably shouldn't call the turn. When he faces Daniels bet and my call, he is looking at a far more likely quartering spot than I was with my call. And the interesting thing about that is that it is unique to this game that his potentially wrong call loses just as much for me as it does for him (and obviously gains Daniel alot). Not a whinge at all, but an interesting aspect of the game, that you can be "let down" by someone calling with the same hand as you.
