I understand Marty passed away last night. He had been moved into a hospice a few days earlier, so I guess the dreadful news was expected.

+1  My first hendon mob cash years ago went under his mob page.  Far too young.   Great guy for the punting/poker game.

Met him for the first time in Vegas ~1995 and heard the cone story and a couple of others over a memorable breakfast at The Rio.

Great bloke, used to see him quite a bit when I was playing a lot, and at fast car's tourneys when he worked for Matchroom.

Hadn't seen him for ages, but was plotted up at Claude's in the Nugget a couple years back, and Marty wandered past with a couple guys he was with from home. Ended up drinking for a good few hours, and was fun hearing all the tales again.
