New Zealand Mosque shootings
«

The guy uploaded the whole thing on social media, his planning, his reasoning, and explicit footage of the act itself.
I saw it, I wish I hadn't.

Do you think some folks maybe get desensitised to brutal killing by playing computer games or watching too many violent movies?

I just think some people are crazy.
Tragic, and glad I didn't see any of it.

I suppose it's possible but I don't really buy it.
I've seen all the brutal TV and movie stuff and it's meh, just stuff. I've also seen some very nasty stuff in real life and it's absolutely horrifying.

9/11 was the terrorist act that defined the rolling 24hr news age, this is a product of the internet age.
His manifesto is littered with trolling and meme culture.

Are you wanting sympathy for watching the videos or something?

That never crossed my mind tbh, what a stupid comment.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

I’m lstrughling to understand why someone would want to post saying they watched the shooting. Then say they wish they hadn’t. If you go searching for it, you’re clearly going to find it.

but you cannot know if you’ll regret watching it, until you’ve watched it.

It's going to be pretty clear what you are watching, you know full well it's not going to be flowers and cute dogs. Poor Red Dog.

Why would you go searching for something you struggle to understand?

I think we've probably been desensitized to violence enough to know approximately what his motives were, approximately how he did it and approximately what it would involve.

I got sent the vid via a whatsapp group with some football friends. If someone would have said to me before i watched it was footage from a new Call Of Duty/Battlefield game I would 100% have believed them. Seeing stuff like this from a first person angle doesn't look real. I was pretty shocked/slightly disturbed with myself that it didn't affect me in anyway. I'm a bit of a wet wipe with most stuff like vids on Facebook of animals getting mistreated, bullying etc but this seems just so detached from reality.

What?
I don't understand why anyone would choose to watch it. I don't want to see people being killed.
