1. In 2005 John Arne Riise scored the fastest goal in League Cup Final history, though Liverpool ended up losing 3-2 to Chelsea. After how many seconds was the goal?

The answer was 45 seconds. Perhaps a bit of a trick as it isn't THAT fast, but one of the questions that some people might know outright.

2. Paraguay's flamboyant goalkeeper Jose Luis Chilavert was a potent goalscorer. How many goals did he score during his professional career (club and international)?

The answer was 67.

This includes one hat-trick and eight international goals. Always a bit of a liability if he missed a penalty though.

Answers were a spread:

3. David Beckham made his Premier League debut on 2 April 1995 in a goalless draw against Leeds United. What shirt number did he wear?

The answer was 28, he wore this shirt for his first two Premiership seasons. His shirts went 28, 24, 10 then 7. Nobody manager to get it bang on. A few went for 12,13 and 14 thinking perhaps there were no squad numbers at this time?

4. In what year was the mighty Birmingham City FC founded with the original name of Small Heath Alliance?

The answer was 1875 and this is printed on the badge. From Wikipedia - Formed in 1875 as Small Heath Alliance, it was renamed Small Heath in 1888, Birmingham in 1905, and Birmingham City in 1943

Everyone thought it was later than it actually was.

Guesses with points awarded after each name. Tighty with the best score of 3. And a disaster for Scotty who went for post WW1

5. The Egyptian Premier League was founded in 1948 and Cairo's Al Ahly have been by far the most successful side, winning the title again in 2019. How many championships have they won?

The answer was 41

Tighty and Ironside almost binked it.

6. PSG set a European record for the number of points they won Ligue 1 by in the 2015-16 season. How many points ahead did they finish?

They were a massive 31 points in front. Nirvana got it spot on.

7. Arguably the dirtiest footballer of all time is Columbian defensive midfielder Gerardo Bedoya. In a professional career that included playing for top flight clubs in Columbia, Argentina and Mexico and 49 international caps, how many red cards did he receive?

The answer was an incredible 46 red cards. His rap sheet includes a 15 match ban for an elbow and subsequent kick to the head of an opponent in the Bogota derby, which I believe could get a bit spicy at times. After that particular incident, the 41st red card of his career, Bedoya defended himself to reporters saying he "just wasn't like that"

Incredibly after he retired it still wasn't over. Twenty-one minutes into his coaching debut for Independiente Santa Fe he was sent to the stands after a 10 minute tirade against the referee.
