Well, it was a swingier than expected roller coaster. It included three survivals, and so the word 'crucial' is convenient and subjective. However, in a sense, the 'crucial ' spot was the massive 150k river vs Seiver.
The exit hand was against Blesnick. I have 29k, and we are the last two before the bring in with
My (T3)4 vs his (xx)4
He completes. I'll be a very slight equity favorite against him, and there will be almost no 5th streets that I can fold if I do call and leave myself with 13k. So, it's right to raise.
I raise. He calls
(T3)49 vs (xx)46
He checks, I bet, he calls
(T3)49J vs (xx)462
He bets the remaining 5k. Call.
He has K4623, so I was indeed ahead on 3rd.
I improve to JT9843, but mine is not the important hand.
He misses, K46232
No improvement from me river (JT98432)
He is, let's say, a 'character, and so, throws his final card across the table. It flips down and up, and, when it emerges, it is a ....
Seven
And that is a big shame. Came 29th

$3,000 9 game mix
Quick break, important to take zero tough feelings foward.
And this is a great one. Its the usual 8 game mix, plus 2-7 single draw no limit
So, that is
Limit Holdem
Razz
Omaha eight or better
Stud hi
Stud hilo
Triple draw limit
No limit holdem
Pot limit Omaha
2-7 single draw no limit

$3,000 9 game mix
Brutal start
Had actually a great triple draw hand to go up to 54k, and then this happened in
No Limit Holdem
Folded to my small blind, I have
at 300-600(600). Big blind looks very nitty, so I just 3x to 1.8k. He calls
The lovely
I check. No need for balance, just hope he can turn a pair
He actually bets. 2k into 5.1k.
First of all, work out what's happening against the big hands
1) The three combos of fours are still dwarfed by the sevens. Giving him all offsuit down to 87, and all suited down to 75, that is
3 combos of fours
12 combos of 7x I lose to
3 combos of 7x I tie with
14 combos of 7x I beat
Anyway... I decide that I can't easily slowplay out of position, and so raise to 7.2k
Now, it gets bizarre. He sighs and shrugs. (Turns out he has K7).
(I'm actually still not sure whether that sigh was a Hollywood or not. The reason it may not have been was that he far from slam called my all-in)
Anyway, with a range of different possibilities , including genuine sighs that still beat me, I decided to play the combos. The shape he is in if he dominates my 7 is only very slightly better than the shape I am in if I dominates his. (The only difference being if it comes two of A,K or Q if I am the dominator)
He makes it 21k from his 43k
Given the combo analysis, it feels like there's no way I'm folding. I'm not sure he treats K7 as much stronger than 87. He may treat 44 as top tier, but it is only 10% of the combos.
So, I'm all in. Feels like some hope of a 99 that has acted bizarrely, and stubbornly calls it off, having got in too deep.
He thinks for at least 5 seconds, seemingly increasing that possibility.
But has K7
No good on

$3,000 9 game mix
OUT shortly after. That had me down to 6k, and that went on a stud hand which was limped to my bring in of (27)2
I made (27)72 vs three bricks on 4th, and was able to get in a raise against Brohnstein's lead of (xx)8A, to get out the other two. With two other 8 s dead, it was likely his hand was just a pair of aces and a three flush.
5th was clean, with (27)27T, vs (xx)8AJ
But 6th was nasty
(27)27TJ, vs (xx)8AJA
I just about have to undercall all in (2.7k at 3k big bet) , but was indeed against (3A)8AJA
And did not catch 7th with
(27)27TJK
To the re-entry Bravo machine
