I was down to 13.5k at 800-1500. There was a limp UTG, and a raise from HJ. Rast calls SB, I have

Rast leads. He'll have a king a fair bit, but

1) He will have QQ and JJ with spades too
2) I can try to clean out a better low draw behind
3) If we consider a raise to be an all-in commitment, I'm getting slightly better than 2 to 1

I raise, to 3k. It works fairly well, as the HJ player does cold call, but does fold when Rast and I make it 4bets to him

Note on schedule

One of the entries on the schedule is the $5,300 Landmark Satellite to the $50k PPC, which would be either today or tomorrow.  I think this probably doesn't quite make sense to play now, with the result so far, because it is unlikely to lead to a cash- something like a 1 in 10 chance to qualify for a 1 in 7 chance, and so 1 in 70 overall, and so would likely be a further 5.3k hole on the result.

Therefore, this weekend will either be today's 2.5k mixed lowball going well, or Millionaire Maker dominated

In just before start of level two. 35k to start. This is an awesome event. 6 handed, and a mix of these three limit games:

- Deuce to Seven Triple Draw
- A to 5 Lowball (California Lowball)
- Badugi

The first two are very close to each other. The differences are:

- In Triple draw, ace counts as high (and, thus is a bad card). The nuts in A to 5 Lowball is A2345

- In Triple draw, a straight or flush counts (as in, it is indeed a straight or flush, and thus is a terrible hand)

Bluffing

In all games, the multi-stage bluff to run is called a 'snow.' It may only be over one betting round, but the difference to a holdem bluff is that it will include the draw being part of the bluff. The idea is to 'pat' (take no cards) as a bluff, implying you have a made hand, and continue betting.  The best time to do this is of course when you have seen pairs in your hand.

I make the nice straight away.

He bets, I raise, he calls. He is one, I am pat.

Second draw- he checks, I auto bet, he raises (to 2k).

Not great news. He's obviously going to pat. But I beat some of his  value range, so it's going to be a calldown, getting overall 3.5 to 1.
