$2,500 No limit holdem

That left me with 3k (which it shouldn't have done, think 5c3c guy has to raise river), and even that went in sad fashion

in the big. Raise from LJ to 1.5k at 500BB, call from HJ, and button goes all-in for 15k, to give me a lovely spot.

I undercall, both get out the way, button has . Even now, we can get back up to 10.5k (21 bigs)

three diamonds

Comes on the turn

three diamonds

Will re-enter

Mentality

I'll be honest, I went away feeling I had been punched in the stomach.  But, I know how it works. It should be stating the obvious, but it's SO important to make sure it never affects the next one. Starting to believe, in any way, that things are 'bound to be against me,' would of course be a crime. Blessed to have such a big schedule. Will keep going.

$2,500 No Limit holdem

It never rains. It pours.

With 35,500 at 500-1000(1000), I raise to 2.2k from UTG1.

A Spanish lady in lojack, and an American older guy in the small blind, come along.

Two Clubs.  Have 33,200 in 8,600.

I don't believe in the need for balance in many spots in live poker (The main one being if you've never played with these players before, and are unlikely to ever again). So, I'm happy to go big, given that I probably only get one street of value anyway from 55-JJ, and that a Queen isn't folding.

Bet 6k. Spanish lady fold, American guy call.

Two Clubs . 27,200 into 20,600

American guy ships all in.

Honest immediate reaction is that it feel so mcuh like the obvious, or (the hand that doesn't understand that it's probably creating a situation close to, getting called by everything better, and a fold from everything worse, but that obviously always has equity).

There's some chance of a flopped set panicking, but if that mentality is possible, then AQ can panic as well.

Always calling. He has

Another big river...

Two Clubs

Ouch

Will never stop fighting. Into the $1500 stud hilo

$1,500 Studhilo

Rough

Alot of hope on 5th with

(Two Clubs ) three diamonds

Against

(xx)789 which is getting stubborn

Ugly brick on (Two Clubs ) three diamonds (two spades), for a two pair we didn't want.

Having bet all the way, I decide to bet river as a merge, because

1) Its cheap
2) It could be a good value bet against a pair of sevens, which bricked
3a) He has played nitty/scared and so may fold a low against a scary board
3b) For the same reason, he may fold 2 pair

He absolutely sigh calls. And has the worst news, which I think nearly folded, of

(75)789J(5) for two pair

Down to 16k

$1,500 Stud hilo

No good, unfortunately.

After the two pair vs two pair, it was a death by bring in, down to 9k

Then...

(xx)3, Barney's (xx)A, and (xx)8 all limp

We have (J6)J. A pair of Jacks never pretty, but no cards are dead, and, with no reason at all for Barney to trap (or recent history thereof), it feels like a complete, hoping maybe for help from the bring, to make it two bets

It doesn't come, and in fact we go 5 way, with the (xx)3 bring in.

5th is our (J6)J7 vs

(Xx)3A, (xx)3T (xx)AT, and (xx)89

We're still live, and it feels like it's now right to effectively commit for 6.5k. (xx)3A really should help us out by 2-betting, but it feels unlikely, and indeed he doesn't . 2 call

5th we do make (J6)J77 vs

(xx)3A2, and (xx)3T9

Bet. (Xx)3A2 raises, and we at least emerge heads up.

We hear the exact word we don't want to.

'Wheel'

He has (45)A32, and we don't catch a house for half, with

(J6)J77Q(K)

Deuce tomorrow

$10,000 Deuce to Seven lowball

In 40 mins into level one. Just 26 runners! Will become about 100. Given who will be in this field, table seems very nice. Recognise only a young Portugese guy.

60k to start at 20-300(500)

$10,000 Deuce to seven

Rough start.

87642 in my big blind. Folded round to small, who 4x's to 1,200. I make it 3.6k.

He's 1. I'm pat.

He bets 7k into 7.7k

Not great news. Wish he had bet 5k. Player type makes it value likely.  GTO wise, it should be an easy call, as he should be value betting his nines. Something tells me he won't find a wide value range. But, there's pretty much no way I can fold. Some small chance of bluffing, some small chance of him having a weaker 8, and some decent chance of him correctly value betting a 9.

I call. We're pipped. 87532
