WEDNESDAYBreadsall, Priory Course, easily the hardest track on my regular roster, with bookiebasher & two of the usual crew, Pat & Tim, both of whom are motor dealers.
We were the first group out (3.30pm) after an organised "Scramble", this...

My usual routine of good front 9/bad back 9 or vice-versa went out of the window. After 11 holes I had just 14 Stabbos, including 2 Blobs, then on the last 7 holes I managed 19 points (3-3-3-2-2-2-4). It all changed after Pat, my partner, gave me a swing tip which worked a treat.
I even managed a Par on what is for me the toughest hole on the Course, the Par 5 18th, which I've never managed before. It's uphill, with the fairway sloping viciously left to right, so the ball always gathers on the right hand side under the tree canopy which blocks the next shot.
After the round I was buzzing & can't wait to play again with my "new" swing tip. Sod's Law came into action though, I'm not scheduled to play today, first blank day in weeks, as everyone is AWOL for various reasons, so unless I go & have a solo knock, like a saddo, no golf today. Meh. It will of course be yet another false dawn.
Tomorrow we are on the easier Course, Moorlands, & there's not a shadow of doubt I'll win.
Should add, after that mini-chirp, my Handicap on Priory is an embarrassing 33, so scores need to be seen in that context. i.e., shite.
