Hi all been in hospital for the last week, so unable to access the forum from there. Turned out my hand was the least of my worries. On Sunday my knee became swollen and on Monday I was admitin to hospital. The diagnosis was septic arthritis, requiring surgery to clean out the knee. Normal infection numbers are 1-4, mine was 251. Was supposed to come home on Thursday but numbers still too high. Today they decided all was good and now I'm home.

Never heard of septic arthritis so I'll be googling that.

Don't do that! You should only google symptoms that you have. Nothing good can come of googling conditions you don't have.
