Not only did Tony bring it to my attention that he outdrove me, he even got Tom to take a pic of me hitting my second shot first!

Played a senior open at Cawder (easy course of their two) to the north east of Glasgow on Thursday. Finished with 33 stabos but a bit disappointed as I had 29 with four not particularly hard holes to go.

I ldropped a not too bad score on my index so I have crept up from 27.9 to 28.

Looking good boys! Great to see you back out and at it this soon Tom, didn't think it would take you long but happy to see its so soon!

One thing to report, played quite a bit, a couple of individual medals which wont help the handicap, quite a few early morning bounce rounds and some team stuff (4bb, Greensomes  ) most went poorly. Did win a dozen pro v1's for a nearest the hole at Braehead which is the course my house looks on but I'm a member at the other club in Alloa (population 14k 2 cracking golf courses with loads nearby, house prices as low as they get. Place should be advertised as a retirement home for golfers Smiley ).

Anyway on Friday started out ok par 4 at first, 6 at the 2nd, its a 4 of the yellows which we were playing and 5 off whites which is annoying as its about 20 yds back. The hole really plays the same likewise the other on the back nine. (obv trying to make it look better but hey come and see for yourself Sad ). So got to the 5th 3 over messy bogey at 4 after missing a decent chance on 3. Then went one over for the rest for a 73. I was playing 2 guys playing BB and won 7&6.

Something about blind squirrels finding the nuts comes to mind. Could happily tell you in great detail about the birdies but happy to have finished really solid on what is a very tough last 4 holes especially a tap in par on my nemesis 18.

Chuffed  Wink (yes i always post on a tuesday when i'm in my hut with some wine watching football  Grin )

Did I kill this thread? Sad

Just back from 10 days in Majorca. Played 4 courses. Andratx and Bendinat both quite similar lots of elevation changes hitting drives from lots of high tee positions not my favourite type of course. Both in decent nick but didn't rush back to either. Played quite a few at Santa Ponsa. Nice course a lot more on the level and quite close to where we were staying. Used to be a european tour venue but needs a bit tlc to stand out but the actual playing conditions were good. Had a round at T Golf Palma course and facilties were very classy surprised at price was in line with the others as their other course is about twice the price and can't imagine its twice as good. really nice course unfortunately wind was gusting which made it tougher but would have played more if we weren't about half an hour away.

Got stuffed on the rounds I played with my brother in law who was getting 14 strokes. He's not long but kept breaking my heart with his short game.

Lovely time only soured a bit when it looked like the airplane looked like it dropped my golf case off before we landed

Sounds like a nice trip Eck.

I played in the Hamilton 4 ball on Monday and would probably have been lynched, if my partner hadn't been playing so badly. My score was the "counter" in 16 of the 18 holes and off my present 27, I would almost def have won a singles comp on a score of 91. Don't know if we won a prize as the computer wasn't working, so just had to put the cards in a box. Hopefully I can keep the improvement going for the rest of the season and maybe get a couple of prizes.
