I remember being in a bar in (excuse the spelling) Craig Muller, I think it was…

It was new years and we were in a bar, No idea of the name…… I said to my mate…

“ I want to go have a drink over there in the Target pub”

My mate laughed and the bar maid shouted,

“ Billy get this edjet a crash helmet and a knife he’s off to the target” The whole pub looked round and that was the end of that….Lovely Place….

Anybody else want to throw Mr T into the Glaswegian Bar or the Laurieston
during the bash and start a book on how long he remains 'Bloodstain Free'?

    Cheesy Cheesy

Can we put a Celtic scarf on him first?  Cheesy

i think we should throw him in bairds with a rangers scarf on.....lol... they might just strip him and send in home in a celtic strip (blood free)
its funny how folk hang onto that old image of glasgow where people walk about with their eye hanging out or with a sword protruding from their belly. dont you know we are a very trendy city now mr T with a world reputation for fashion, culture and freindliness? id go as far to say we are even more friendly than the dubliners. stick that in your pipe and smoke it  Grin

nah not Bairds! The middle of the Gallowgate should suffice, between all of the 'traditional' pubs i.e. Hoops, Bar 67, Bairds and The Emerald! Especially after Shebeen have been in! Recipe for disaster! Heres me projecting possible grissly ends for Mr.AndrewT when its bang out of order for any blondite!

I would like to thank my Caledonian cousins for the warm welcome they have extended to this mere Sassenach.

Whilst I am not of that persuasion, I feel touched by the offers of Glasgow kisses which have been forthcoming Smiley

Seriously, though, I am sure that not all the residents of Glasgow are drunk, sectarian, dunderheads. It seems to me you sent all those down to London many years ago.

The bookshops in Glasgow do sell Glesga phrasebooks - but it wouldn't have helped you with Ally's Gaelic... Irish Gaelic as well I think....  Cheesy
