So let's not be serving up any revenge in Austria then, hmmm?

There's plenty of exciting side action among the railers here - we've got a kind of Time The Final Will Start Sweepstakes for £20.  7 of us in and a nice exciting range of times, all of them later than 10pm... we're expecting a long night, in other words.

That is what i cannot understand Jen. Players keep turning up paying their cash and playing yet almost all think the prize structures are poor.At the end of the tourney a deal will be done and the highlight event of the week will end like a damp squib, same last week, same next week and same almost every week for the rest of the year. How many more events have to be spoilt before Casinos listen?
Richard the casino manager showed me a suggested reconstructed prize break down on Friday which was great.
There were in slight increases in money at the 18th -10th positions and the final payouts were a lot flatter.
Dont know why they didnt use it, unless they had already advertised the present structure and it was too late.

Craig.

I was told that all the player representatives at Walsall were shown the prize structure before the festival commenced. It was agreed upon, which is why it is now in place.

How about this for an idea.

When people register for the tournament, the player votes for a prize structure.

The structure with the most votes when all the players have registered is the one put in place for that competition.

What do you reckon?

14th place goes to Paul Dargan - -

The Dragon's last stand was with , called by Tim Flanders' Ah .  Probably not what he wanted to see, to be honest...

The board came two hearts and another one of the earlier big stacks is out of the tournament.  Tim, who started the day with just under 60k, has just continued to build his stack non-stop, approaching 400,000 at this point.

Flatter payout structures are all very well... but let's not go too far.

There were 44 runners in the £1000 tournament at Sheffield last week.

Guess how many places were paid?

(No peeking at the results!)

With respect Keith, paying too many places is not what a flatter structure is about

Woody Deck is keeping out of trouble at the moment and sitting on his 400k stack.

I fully expect him to make the final table.
