I'm not happy about my 11:15 final table bet in the sweepstake.

It's looking very shakey now.

bye bye money

14th place goes to Paul Dargan - -

The Dragon's last stand was with , called by Tim Flanders'  .  Probably not what he wanted to see, to be honest...

The board came two hearts and another one of the earlier big stacks is out of the tournament.  Tim, who started the day with just under 60k, has just continued to build his stack non-stop, approaching 400,000 at this point.

I'm waving goodbye to mine even quicker - 11:45 is very unlikely indeed Smiley

I think 9 got paid in Sheffield. I am really referring to the prize money jumps, not the number of prizes. What would you prefer to see Keith?

The Thinker takes a chunk out of John McNeill who check-raised him (30k) on a three clubs flop.  He called, and it slowed down until two more board cards came down and  .  Then it was Don who bet to take the pot down and leave John with under 40k...

No, it was ten! nearly a quarter of the field got paid. Ridiculous IMO.

I hate to go against the crowd but I think the payout structure is fine, except I wouldn't pay down to 18.

Poker is about winning and the winner should get at least 40% of the prize money.

J McNeill doubles up too.

Can't seem to get rid of the blighters, which bodes well for my bet.

His push with found a caller in Local player Don Jones who held pocket sixes.

Simon Zach must have had a cup of coffee in the last break, as he certainly woke up in this hand against Nick Slade in the big blind -

It looks like Nick must have raised Simon's button flat call, because there was an all-in re-raise neatly laid out in front of Simon when I got there (and quite a bit in the middle already).
It was one of those, "Will you show me if I pass?" moments, and eventually Nick passed  face up.

Simon's hand

We are going to have to change Leery Nick's nickname to Quiet Nick, or maybe Cautious Nick.  Yes, I like that.
