PAYOUT STRUCTURES

I agree with Acion Jack, he is a "plodder".

Serioulsy, the venue holding the event let us all know what the payout structure was and we coughed up our £1,500. Its their tournamant, we're the customers - not the organisors, so we can vote with our feet. The staff at Walsall are great and it would be a shame if there efforts were overshadowed by the payouts etc, we have a choice, play or don't play. However, I would lay big odds that a deal will be done so we won't get a "true winner."

I know when my club opens we are going to come in for some right flack from a section of the poker community, as we will definatley be operation standardised rules and a FLATTER payout structure for 3 reasons: to avoid deals being done so we get a outright winner, less hassle at the final table, and to spread the money around so less money goes out of the game. £1500 is a lot of money for some people and surely the bottom prize should be more than money back?

I know we'll get our critics and I'm sure we'll get a few players refusing to play, but everyone has a choice to vote with their feet. Personally, I'd rather that people did this than play and grumble.

Just my thoughts,

Good luck to Womble and Zach, both top blokes (hopefuuly you guys have not swopped % with Ariston)

Cheer Rob

my opinion is it is so hard to get a result and you need so much luck to get to last 2 or 3 its pants that if you dont make top 2 the money is usually not worth the effort you put in to get there.
I think the pay structure should be flatter so that all those that get to the final feel like they are winners .

i would be interested to know whether most players would prefer the greedy structure or the the flatter split . I dont know know what other players think but i prefer the flatter split - probably because i like to plodd into the money .

I'd like to plod at about 10% of the speed you plod at Paul.

On a secondary point vul Micky.............you must have thought you were back online with that river card. Just goes to show you the man dfinishes an honourable 10th with an awful beat and only gets his original stake back after a long struggle and he might as well have finished 18th for the same prize.
