Flushie your going to have to explain that one, I've run out of drugs...
I think it might be some kind of rack....
I'm remaining confused, but nevermind it's not the worst state to be in.
He keeps picking up big pocket pairs, the picture is of a postCARD in a RACK......

Woody is still battling away.
A few words on this plucky fellow. He's one tough customer. Plays with courage, skill, and dexterity (?), and I sincerely hope he goes on to win this event.
Edward, blonde salutes you.

Jen has just been interviewed by Ian regarding her Unusual Suspects victory.
Can't wait to catch Poker 425 next week.
She's wearing an oversized blondepoker shirt, so she's probably going to look tiny on tv.

Ronnie Debeaulox
is OUT in
8th
place, winning
£5,300
It was one of those
vs
things, with his Queens falling to the flopped Ace - it was always going in there and the beneficiary was Don The Thinker, who looks to be approaching chip leader...

Nick Slade
is OUT in
7th
place winning
£6,500
Phil Peter's raises preflop with A-4 off.
Nick Slade moves his shortstack all-in for an extra 29k and an A-T holding.
With the blinds at 6/12k, it's a no brainer, so Peter calls.
Board comes K-3-4-2-6.
The four on the flop sends Slade spinning down the motorway.
We're down to 6.

PAYOUT STRUCTURES
I agree with Acion Jack, he is a "plodder".
Serioulsy, the venue holding the event let us all know what the payout structure was and we coughed up our £1,500. Its their tournamant, we're the customers - not the organisors, so we can vote with our feet. The staff at Walsall are great and it would be a shame if there efforts were overshadowed by the payouts etc, we have a choice, play or don't play. However, I would lay big odds that a deal will be done so we won't get a "true winner."
I know when my club opens we are going to come in for some right flack from a section of the poker community, as we will definatley be operation standardised rules and a FLATTER payout structure for 3 reasons: to avoid deals being done so we get a outright winner, less hassle at the final table, and to spread the money around so less money goes out of the game. £1500 is a lot of money for some people and surely the bottom prize should be more than money back?
I know we'll get our critics and I'm sure we'll get a few players refusing to play, but everyone has a choice to vote with their feet. Personally, I'd rather that people did this than play and grumble.
Just my thoughts,
Good luck to Womble and Zach, both top blokes (hopefuuly you guys have not swopped % with Ariston)
Cheer Rob
I'm not knocking the staff at Walsall Rob, they do a fantastic job and Walsall is probably my favorite card room, I'm just rising an issue, the fact that I'm free to do this is all the more credit to them
Yes, it's their tournament, but it's our money, we should have a say
As for playing elsewhere with a flatter structure, where do you suggest? (And that is not an excuse for you to plug your club)
Come over to Ireland first Sunday of every month to play my €250 Freezeout
€46k prize pool last month and no deals.
