What got me, and really made me believe that I might have something to offer this game, was when one of the players, a big name legend, who I shall leave nameless came up to me afterwards.

She had been watching the final table from start to finish as it had a protege of hers on it. She asked me my name and said to me

"it was terrific to see you knuckle down and carry on after the bad beat. Many players would have just thrown their chips in on a gamble and gone out next. It was great to watch"

I literally floated home up the M1

I hoped you weren't going to mention me in this tale......but I thought a congratulatory word was due.....

Well done again Richard    Cheesy

gratuitous editing Dingdell.  Cheesy

It was certainly nice to take a certain gentleman's chips with me to the final table

Well done mate.  Its good to see someone who puts so much thought and effort into their game getting the rewards so consistantly.   Very good recovery from that awful beat, as you say most people would be chucking their chips in with anything after that.   Well I would.....until now!!

Another great result Richard, I'm pleased for you as I know how hard you had to battle through the bad(beat) times.

Keep on truckin' buddy  thumbs up

Blimey Rich,

That's the last time I criticise you for playing roullette in the breaks.  Cheesy

It doesn't take a genius to work out that you are seriously switched on when it comes to making decisions of a sporting nature. Your NFL strategy and success is testament to that.

So it comes as no surprise that you are starting to cash in at the poker tables.

Well played,
Mike
