Peter Costa has a nice early hand taking out the $10000 short stack, who moves all-in with AKQx, called by Peter in the big blind with JJ67.  The flop of 3 3 8 is given another 3 on the turn to mean Chester Son Pierre is drawing dead and out in 18th

Meanwhile on the other table Istuan Novak goes all-in apart from one chip preflop, putting Simon Trumper on a decision, which he eventually makes in favour of calling.  Of course it's all-in on the flop and Simon's A4d 35s are up against I. Novak's AA78.  The turn and river are , and I. Novak doubles through.

10 mins at the Hotel - she got 3, & was ready with a minute to spare!

Her flight, due in at 1.30, landed at 12.55 - & no queue at Immigration for Jen, she holds a US Passport, so she whizzed through. Taxi to The Orleans, booked in to her room, out again in 2 minutes, & here at the Rio 5 mins later! What a lady.

She is just relocating her computer. She & I have different work stations. I am in the Press Room, but Jen has managed to set up on an empty table right next to the two Omaha tables. I have introduced her to Pete Costa & Simon Trumper, & Jen will now follow this Omaha comp all the way.

Good, 'innit?

Just in case anyone notices the detail, I clearly cannot count as there are now 16 players.

Aces lost a decent sized pot and must be nearly last place.

 Sad

John Gale takes out Larry Jonsson with 2255, which fits nicely with the 4 2 7 9 4 board.  So down to 15.
Then Tony Cousineau fell hot on his heels, making two tables of seven....  Things happening so fast here.

Oh and did I mention this room is as big as Disneyland?  Somewhere in here El Blondie, Womble, Julian Thew and others are simultaneously playing the $1000 hold'em... more on them later

Aces makes back quite a pot when all-in with 9 9 10 J, hitting the 9 2 Q 7 8 square on.  So on around 78000 now

Peter Costa's raise was reraised by Todd Brunson who found himself in pretty dodgy shape with 9 J Q K rainbow vs. Costa's A K .  The Q somehow appeared all alone to give Todd Brunson about 25000 more.  More accurate chip counts for the final 14 in a sec.

In the $1,000, I just saw El Blondie & he told me James Woods is on his table. I asked him what this Woods geezer had won, he just rolled his eyes. But Jen reckons he's an actor bloke.

Jen is like a whirling dervich, whatever one of those is. She is whizzing around the tables to note the action, she makes me feel positively old.
