Also OUT (wow I am the unrelenting bringer of bad news) is Jon Raab, who was backed for this tourney (no rebuy though) and was looking forward to playing.  After an all-in outdraw with the small blind and Q2 on a K Q 2 flop - the big blind had K 8 and rivered the 8 - he's back in update corner recovering before he gets back to work.
Hard lines Jon have a drink and get ready for the 1k buy in tomoz.

Joe Grech is OUT.

His bullets were cracked by an AQ holding which made four to the flush.

Ouch.

Since winning the Birmingham Open, Joe has been running into some big hands and seen his big hands spanked. According to Joe though, 'that's the way it goes. I tend to win the lot and then go on a poor run.'

Ah well, as long as he keeps winning the lot now and then.

The players are currently on a break.

The Poker 425 crew have arrived and Rhow is fretting slightly as there are no familiar faces on the last two tables of the main event.

I've pointed her in the direction of a few potential good interviews though. I reckon David Bagheri would be a good choice. Seems like a laugh.

Cheers Stu, Les Kerrigan is getting me my first beer as we speak. Not sure about tomorrow. If there's any satellites tonight I'll have a crack at one.  If not, I've got two articles to write by Monday.

Wardonkey -- 8k at the break.

AK under the gun. Raise, reraised 1k, called.

Flop came A-J-T

Mateyboy moved all-in with QQ, the donkster called for a double up.

Apparantly, he's had AK 4 or 5 times and only missed once.

Here's young Hennessey learning the tricks of looking thoughtful and wily from Mickey Wernick himself (place hand under chin, don't grin, no, Don't grin...)

Here's Micky with around 7,000 chips.  He started on a table with both Brian and a rather obnoxious youngster but doesn't look fazed by anything...

Precomp antics with B4Matt and YoYo - we're not sure exactly what was going on here but it looked like fun.

Ashley Alterman, Steve Vladar, Matt Tyler (B4Matt), and Julian Thew are all on the same table.

Yoyo has 7.5k
Matt's going well on 13k

After a tough cash beat with aces v queens last night, I think he deserves a good run in this comp.
