After I deleted the abuse that the photo suffered, I think it's only fair to post the original so things aren't taken out of context.

Would you believe it, the two finalists have gotten another break (which they probably need after this long final day) and are going to head back shortly to carry on.  It looks like it may be taking on Paul Jackson/Joe Grech proportions, with the difference that when we watched them, we were literally sat at the table and could even see their hole cards!

Here's my artistic and rather more friendly version of Jennifer.

Jen here -

My laptop appears to have given up the ghost with regards to the internet, and a half hour fiddling with it has proven totally futile.  So while Jon watches the €1,000 final, I can let you know what's going on under his name.

And that is: Jonathan Plens has taken a considerable lead over the last hour, bringing Sigi down to just under 300,000.  Something surely has got to give soon...

Still Jen -

As predicted, the short stack Sigi got it all in - I think the board showed a four flush, and his  beat Jonathan's  to get him back in the game.  Only the end of the hand got announced, as even Thomas Kremser, with the stamina of a marathon runner, is looking a bit tired.

Try sacrificing a bullock, that usually does the trick

That only worked in Ancient Greece... besides, the poker gods are too fickle to be swayed by beef.  I think that hour and a half blinds are giving these players ample room to play, but they're just not using it in any decisive sort of way.

I have to say that it looks like eventually Jonathan will gain (and keep) the upper hand in one of these all-in situations, but until then, the tight play of his opponent is keeping all the chips from getting into the middle.  What DC said about Sigi Stockinger being a good player but not the sort to win top spot in tournaments looks pretty accurate, although eventually his patience might goad his younger opponent into making a mistake.  They both look a little listless under the spotlights, to be honest.

Seeing that nothing is happening here, no1 is following the update, and Jen and myself are inches away from cutting off our arms and throwing them at the table, I think we're going to call it a night.

This hasn't been the thrilling of final tables.

Even Rhow suggested she streaked to liven things up.

I have a flight in about five hours, so we are going to go back and pack.  Rhow has kindly offered to text the result and any interesting detail when it emerges, and it'll be yours to contemplate fairly early tomorrow morning (or later this morning).#

Thanks everyone who kept track of our update, and to the staff of the Concord Card Casino.  And I have never had nicer, more reasonably priced food, 24 hours a day.  It has been a snowy thrill to be back in Austria; next stop Monte Carlo.

'night!
