Note for Catalan in Viena -

I asked the TV production people about when and where this show would air, and they couldn't give a definite time - could be months away.  But, it is being aired on numerous channels, e.g. Sky Sports France, possibly UK, Eurosport Italy, and most likely others of this nature.  I'd just keep an eye out in a month or so if you have cable.

Not just guestimates - the REAL DEAL:

Jonathan Plens   1,041,000
Sigi Stockinger      668,000
Ernst Hermans      638,000

Jonathan has just taken off, breaking the million just before they broke for ten minutes.

I have to say that Big TK knows he's holding all the metaphorical update cards - he showed me the list he'd just made with his thumb over one side so they all read '000.'  On purpose.

But then he relented.  Seriously, many thanks for helping us out - not everyone gets as ringside as seat as you

He's rather gamely trying to keep one finger in the €1,000 pie while covering the final too.  But it really is tough to get anything report worthy from this final.  Usually there are a couple of screens displaying, for example, what the FlopCam sees, but we are yet to actually see a single card on the board or in a player's hand.

Okay, this sux big time in my opinion.

We follow this comp for 3 long days, promoting both the tournament and the casino, yet when it comes to the final table, we can't get anywhere near it.

We can't see or hear nowt.

Photos are problematic due to the ban on flashes and the raised stage which means that our shots are from lower down. We can't get close to the table, so all our piccies are from afar. Also, we have very few angles from which to shoot due to all the crew's apparatus being in the way.

Seeing specific hands is virtually impossible. Kremser is only announcing all-ins, which are few and far between. If we want update on a hand, we surely need to be closer than 10 miles away from the table.

There are no table cameras, no flops visible to the audience, no nothing. Audiences aren't even really welcomed. No seating area and very few spots for people to stand and watch, which explains the complete lack of atmosphere.

To top it all off, when I asked, in the nicest possible way may I add, for 3 mere chip counts, I was completey bovved off by a woman who said 'maybe' and never returned.

Sux big time.

grr

rant over...

I feel for you guys snoop- Media coverage is an essential part of any tourneys succes, and you should get the royal treatment rather than Austrian maybe's... I appreciate the effort for one, and any news is very welcome indeed !

Apparantly they're concocting a deal- leaving everyone with a very tidy sum and still more to play for...

Jen can you tell Snoops that now that my pick from when there was two tables left is now CL, I want him to admit I am NOT a bokker!!!

Fantastic work by both of you. You must be bloody knackered.
