More on the Krank v Hermanns hand.

A-Q v 9-7 of clubs

Both big stacks.

Flop brought top pair for Krank, but a flush draw for Hermanns.

There was betting on the flop before the turn flushed up Hermanns.

All the chips then went in and Hermanns took down the pot.

Quote from Krank: "First mistake. Going up against another big stack. He'd been bullying me about a little and pushing me off a few pots, and I thought he was doing it again. I had him down for just the one club."

I have tried very hard to count the chips, but without a direct contact to the Boss Man it's tough.  But to give you some idea (and I know these don't add up to the right amount):

Tim Krank       350k
Sigi Stockinger  250k
Ernst Hermans  900k
Jonathan Plens  500k

Massive pot.

Ernst raises to 95k from the small blind. J Plens moves all-in from the big blind.

Ersnt calls and confidently flips over

Jonathan shows

First card out =

Bang.

Rest of the flop = two spades

It's looking grim, not even a straight draw possibility.

Turn =

and then... remarkably

River =

SPLIT POT

Another all-in situation, this time shortest stack Sigi moved in with  against AK (that old chestnut).  But instead of being eliminated and scarily proving Dave right, he hit a Queen on the flop to double through at this crucial moment.

Quiz time - this little guy is in a glass case near the entrance to the Concord Card Casino - what sort of animal is he?  You have ten seconds... nine...

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Err... would that have been the ten of clubs then for the pot to split ?

And against who did Sigi double ?

Btw- that chip count is looking way good for Mr E.

Otherwise no split pot surely.
