Hi guys,

I'm new to the Poker World so please go easy on me! I have been a bit of a lurker for the past couple of months, but thought I would make my first post!

I just thought I would see if anyone else is going to the British Poker Open this month? I saw the story on the Blonde homepage and managed to get myself and my husband some tickets for Saturday's heats Cheesy

The guys at The Poker Channel wouldnt tell me the exact lineup for our heat - but gave me some of the names of people entering - and i'm excited to say the least!

Don't know if the field is public knowledge yet - but some of the players include DU, ML, NB, GH, GJ, as well as a few 'C List' celebs.

Even a certain Blonde is apparently playing! Cool

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

All I know is that after finishing 2nd in my heat last year I wanted another crack this year. I applied direct to them to buy in and didn't even get a reply saying sorry no seats etc. I sent several more emails over the last couple of months and still got nothing. I am not interested in an event who thinks its more important to arrange tickets for spectators than deal with the players who supported the event last year.

Who did you contact? The girl I spoke to, Emma I think her name was said that the places filled up extremely quickly this year.

Sorry if I sound rude - but what is your name?
