Just catching up with this for the first time today.

The lack of big name Americans is probably to do with the WSOP Circuit Event in Rincon.  I guess the Poker Stars featured players (Raymer, Hachem and Co) are in Monte Carlo at the behest of Stars, but most others will have likely played the WSOP event.

Incredibly, the Rookie has been grinding like he's never ground before.

Well, he's never actually ground at all. This is his first time.

Lurking in the background, however, is his mentour, Julian Thew.

It seems to be working as Brian's patience has been rewarded.

A-A v K-J

The scariest of scary flops came down.

Q-K-T

eeeeeeeek  Shocked

Turn = 5

River = 6

Joe possibly put him on an Ace with a flush draw - his all-in makes sense with this holding. Joe would then be a slight favourite.

He also getting nearly 2.5/1 pot odds - I think it's an ok call.

OK, so I guess when youve got 7 mill you can afford to gamble your tournament life on what is best a coin flip.

I'm sure Sklansky would agree Smiley

Ha ha, you're right. So wrapped up was I in odds and cards, I completely missed the fact that Hachem was calling off all his chips.

Nevertheless, there was 10K in the pot, therefore Joe must have put nearly 5K of his 11.5K in with AK. Given he's already put half his stack in, he'd have done that knowing he wasn't going to fold if he flops TPTK. I stick by my original post - I'm not folding in this situation.

PokerGirl (Morten Erlandsen) bets 1k on a flop.

MB reraises to 3k.

Sverre sighs heavily before folding from the small blind.

PokerGirl mucks a lot quicker.

According to Ben Grundy, he's moved from a fish aquariam with lots of calling stations to a shark tank full of agressive tricky to play Scandieboys.

Do you have a picture of Colin Gerard?

Afraid not snoopy, just checked a couple of poker sites and googled for him but to no avail.

He is about 45, baldish (though he is almost certain to be wearing a cap), relatively small chap (add your own punchline here), wears specs, always has an i-Pod nano on the go and will most probably have his usual beige satchel over the back of his seat.

The one thing that might give him away is that he won his seat through William Hill so may be wearing some branded gear.

Don't worry if you can't spot him, I appreciate that you guys are busy and are doing a great job.

I'm water boy for the first time in a while.

Some fella clicked his fingers and asked me to get him a drink.
