Surely you want A9 calling?

I would happily play for all my chips JJ v A9 at any stage of the game even the bubble.

But here it's not all my chips, and it's not the bubble, and I'm first in so I have folding equity too.

btw JJ is a big favourite over AK, huge casinos are built on the profits from edges a lot smaller than that one.

with you there too. many of these so called coin flips are not close to even money. 56/44 is obviously closer to 60/40 than 50/50

Ok

My last comment on this

If a fish calls on A9 and someone else decides to call with kQ you are a 2-1 dog. JJ is a dangerous hand

if people played JJ the same way they played 10,10 (how ever that is for them) they'd be fine. trouble is alot of people play J,J like they play Q,Q

a lot of people play QJ like I JJ Smiley.

Rivercard, I take your point that if A9 and KQ call your JJ there are 3 overcards.......but....this is still ok because you will triple up if it wins.......and you are better than 1 in 3 so you still have odds in your favour, but yes, any situation where you go into a hand less than 50% is risky.

For me, and just my opinion, this is even more reason to push hard and drop at least one of them.
