An extraordinary thing just went off.

Bushy raised from the BB, & short stacked Paul Zimbler resignedly called. It was generally assumed that Bushy had wired Aces, but to the shock and horror of the entire table, he turned over A-5. ACE-FIVE....! From Bushy!!

Come here Bushy, I say, what was all that about? He says "I've got far too many chips, I need to dump some so I can be comfy again. And another fing. They told me there would be 6,600 runners, but there are only 5,600. Where's the value, eh?".

ActionJack Jackson is sat next to me in the Press Room, wearing a press pass made out in the name of Evelyn Ng. But he seems to be getting away with it.

Thanks for the update TK, perhaps give me another in an hour, or when you are next passing.

Just spotted Achilleas Killakis leading a small company away from the Room... and it appears that they are not returning.  An hour to go for today for everyone else.  88 off the money - it's going to be close

621 left, 560 get paid. There is 1 hour left on the clock before we retire for the day - I fancy a few will have to return tomorrow & not get paid.

Thanks for the support Tikay and also the support from Alistair Findlay. I'm a bit gutted to go out so close to the money, but I'll be back next year.

Bluff-tastic story related by Action concerning Nottingham Nick - he's on the button and sees an 8 5 3 flop with one other guy.  The guy bets 5k on the flop, Nick calls.  The turn: an A.  Guy checks, Nick bets 6.5k; call.  The river pairs the 8 and to a second check Nick bets 9k, and the other guy folds.  He shows 9 4 off.

Burnley John has a late position limper and AA on the big blind.  He made it 6000 to go, and with the A on the flop he check-raises all in and the guy passes.  Then he finds KK vs 10 10 (although the 10s got out of the way before a flop).  Quote from Womble "Patience is rewarded."  John has 90k

I will check it out, but as far as I am aware, we finish for the day at the end of this level.

The crowds outside the ropes are just massive, 6 or 7 deep all the way round. Amazing atmo.
