Pray to the poker gods for me, I've been having a bit of a downer on the poker front.

My philosophy has changed concerning poker.

In order to prevent myself from going insane ( I think this has already happened many moons ago  Cheesy ).  What I do now is remain ice cool when I get a bad beat and I convince myself the poker gods made me lose for a reason.

I don't follow any organised religion. But I do respect the poker god " Ace High Flush". Earlier on tonight he made me lose while holding an Ace High flush of spades. I got beaten by a lucky river card by my opponent to make him a full house.

Only a few weeks ago, I would have risked my blood pressure and anger levels going over the top with this kind of outcome. But tonight, I thought to myself .... " Ace high flush made me lose for a reason, perhaps if I had won the $6000 or so for first place, I would have spent the money on a holiday. The plane may have crashed, I could have caught an deadly disease or some other nasty thing".

What I am trying to say is, there is a reason for everything. As long as you make more correct decisions than wrong decisions, the final result will look very nice. I know that eventually I will reach the latter stages of a MTT. However right now, it isn't meant to be. There is equal good luck and bad luck.  ( after writing this... I went on to get my first money finish in a mtt  218/1693 in a $5 mtt on stars ).

I am very sure mate, that your luck will change soon. It may be today or a week from now. But I can guarantee one thing, you will play exactly the same way you are right now. The only difference will be the end result.   I have come to realise, I am a complete fish if I am lucky or unlucky  Cheesy
