Big Up to Gala Birmingham

Went there tonight for the new £30 FO, (that started last week) and I've got to say it has an excellent set-up. 4000pts, house dealers, no juice, house dealers, starting blinds of 25/50, house dealers, 30 minute clock, house dealers, a flatish pay-out structure and did I mention the house dealers? Plus there was a mini-buffet at the break at the end of the third level. As for the players, well some were ok, but early on there's a lot of loosey goosey (and fishy action). For example, on an AA672 board. Matey 1 bets, Matey 2 flat calls. Both turn over A7. I ended up finishing 7th when my A9 ran into A10, but I'd already got lucky twice with A10 vs AQ, (10 on the river) and then K10 vs KJ (K42 board, turn Q, river 2 for a split pot). Anyway I'll be there next week, so thanks to Rich (dik9) and the staff.
P.S ifm - Rich says the pints are cheaper at the Gala than the Broadway and that that would be enough to get you to come along.

Do they have house dealers?
Logged
The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Do they have house dealers?
Yes, but they don't move the short stack...

I think Dik should look at that thread and implement some of the excellent ideas on there!!
